I am a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. I rushed my sorority in fall 2014. Since then, I have been introduced to a group of my best friends and have had the opportunity to hold numerous leadership positions. I have been a member of the philanthropy committee, held the parliamentarian position and danced on the 2015 and 2016 Greek Sing team.
I have held my position as the Panhellenic Director of Scholarship since December 2016. This position has given me the opportunity to lead 19 scholarship chairs and assist each chapter in reaching its academic goals. I have also had the opportunity to choose the recipients of five scholarships and present the winners in front of over 1,000 collegiate women.
The Auburn PRSSA/PRCA organization provides students with countless opportunities in the public relations and communications field. Members are exposed to networking connections as former members and other public relations representatives attend weekly meetings to provide insight on the field. Members are also given the opportunity to take on leadership roles and attend the PRSSA national conferences.
During spring 2015, I was selected as a representative of my sorority to be a member of the Tri Sigma Extension Team. Every week during the spring and fall 2015 semesters, I met with members of the team to plan how we would integrate a new sorority on campus and recruit members. This opportunity allowed me to represent the Greek community to women on campus and encourage them to become founding members of Tri Sigma.
